2018 was a booming year in Spanish biotech thanks to 77 USD mln of venture capital invested in the industry during this period. Two main financings rounds were scored by Catalan biopharma companies – Minoryx Therapeutics and Abac Therapeutics and the third one by AlgaEnergy – a Madrid based company specialized in microalgae technology.
