2021 was a year of exceptional growth for the life science industry in France. In particular, biotech venture financing boomed in the second half of 2021 with a record USD 706 million in investment raised. Biotechgate data indicates a focus on on R&D services for the French biotech industry, being the largest biotech sector with 464 companies — accounting for half of all biotech companies.
