Zurich, February 2022: From February 7th to 11th, the seventh edition of Biotechgate Digital Partnering took place online on the HelloPartnering conference platform. The conference, focused on BD&L (business development and licensing), saw over 1,200 participants attend, representing over 1,000 companies from 60 countries worldwide.
Amongst the one-to-one partnering, workshops and panel discussions, Biotechgate Digital Partnering also held the XY Factor competition supported by MSD in cooperation with the #CoffeeBuddies – Graham Combe and Prof. Tony Sedgwick. The competition took place in two parts, where ten companies pitched their partnering and investment opportunities to a panel of industry experts.
The winner of the competition was POLARISqb, an American biotech that implements drug design by combining quantum computing with AI and precision medicine. The prize was a subscription to the Biotechgate Business Development Database. The two runner ups were Arjuna Therapeutics and Ochre BIO, who earned free ‘Premium Presenting Company’ tickets to all 2022 Biotechgate Digital Partnering events.
The Biotechgate Digital Partnering conference series was initially launched by business development database provider Biotechgate to serve as a way for life science professionals to continue their business development meetings in a virtual manner when COVID-19 pandemic restrictions did not allow for it. Following its popularity, the event is now held once every quarter.
The next edition of the Biotechgate Digital Partnering series will take place May 9 – 13 2022, where even more attendees are expected for the week-long event.
