Even though most industries have been badly affected by the global pandemic, German life sciences thrived in 2020. The total value of private equity investments doubled compared to 2019 and was the highest since we started tracking the data. There are at least 840 human therapeutics in different stages of development which makes Germany one of the strongest biotech markets in the world.
