Spanish Life Science Industry remains very dynamic with a particularly strong HealthTech (eHealth) sector; around half of the newly founded life science companies belong to this category. At the moment, there are 527 Biotech, 105 MedTech and 117 HealthTech companies in Spain, according to the data gathered by Biotechgate.
The Bioregion of Catalonia is still the largest contributor to the industry growth. The most significant biotech and pharma players are located there and the region attracts much more venture investments than the rest of the country.
