ZURICH, August 2014: Biotechgate announces the launch of a new database which provides information on investors seeking investment opportunities within the life science industry. With the help of the database, capital raising companies can identify specific investors and retrieve the contact details of the responsible persons.

The new Biotechgate Investor Database is a life science-specific platform available to scientists and entrepreneurs raising capital. The data is collected and curated by a dedicated investor research team. The completion of the investor profiles starts with a web-research and validation of current information. This is enhanced by continuous conversations with investors to identify their current needs and active mandates. This unique approach enables fundraising executives to use the Biotechgate Investor Database to match up with investors that are a fit for their particular financing stage, disease area or technology, resulting in a more effective and efficient fundraising process.

The Investor Database is an online application and comes with a user-friendly interface that allows easy filtering to identify specific investors. The focus is on alternative investors like Family Offices/Private Wealth Funds, Corporate Investors, Angel Groups and Endowments/Foundations. The database wants to provide subscribers access to difficult to find investors as an alternative to Venture Capital money. Everything including contact information can be downloaded into Excel for effective targeting of potential investors.
